Thanks for reading! I personally enjoy working with really dense urban areas. I think Istanbul would be a really cool city to map (and to visit) as it's split between continents.
I need to catch up on Outpost one day. That’s awesome you’re a cartographer and love maps. I really hope you get to do more of that and it really sucks that it’s a gate keepy industry like so many.
Fellow X Files fan btw. I watched in real time growing up. It’s up there in top 10 favorite shows along with Twin Peaks.
Thank you! I've actually only really seen the first season of X-Files, but I did really enjoy what I've seen. I've seen other random episodes, but season one is the only season I've watched in order thus far. I have a hard time committing to watching TV shows so idk if I'll ever get through X-Files :(. Twin Peaks is one of my favorite shows as well tho
I will say later seasons go down hill especially when Moulder leaves. That’s when I dropped off. Lance Hendrickson lead a show around that time also by the creator of The X Files called Millennium that was really good too. Glad to hear your a Twin Peaks fan. X, Twin Peaks, Tales From the Crypt, and Mystery Science Theater were such huge shows back then and it was different from the Nickelodeon and TGIF kids shows I was watching lol.
Thank you for this.
I haven't seen Outpost Black Sun but I've seen many genre sequels that try to turn a good simple idea into War and Peace.
Sigh.
Thank you for the warning.
About maps, what would be the most interesting city (past or present) to make a map of?

You do a great job finding connection and weaving the personal into your movie essays. Thanks for writing. :)

I feel ya on committing to TV. I’ll watch maybe 2 shows a year anymore at this point. And hardly ever watch newer movies either.
