Pitch Black is one of the best variations on the "Alien" story ever made. I'd love to see see a Twohy helmed variation of Event Horizon set underwater. Thanks for the recommendation. Thanks also for not overhyping it either.
I had a Pitch Black DVD sitting on my shelf for about a year, and writing about Below made me remember I had it. I finally watched it like 2 days ago and it's great! Really sick lighting and for sure one of the better Alien variations.
I haven’t seen this one but Event Horizon underwater sounds like a good time! I was in college at the time and forgot all about this. Also never heard of Block Island Sound and still have never seen Leviathan unfortunately.
I will warn you that many people find The Block Island Sound dull, but it is creepy! I think it ties together aquatic and space horror well. Leviathan isn't the most original movie, but has some really fun practical effects
Nice! It was a pretty obscure HBO movie from the 90’s. It’s not on the same level as say The Shining obviously but it is awesome and better than you would expect. I love it. Miguel Ferrer plays a complete piece of garbage like no other. And I mean that as high praise. Lol
I haven't even heard of Night Flier! It's hard to believe I somehow missed a Stephen King adaptation of a vampire pilot because that seems like my perfect movie lol
The bombs falling on the sub was a great scene. Also thank you!! To be honest I kinda operate like no one is reading any of these so I'm glad you enjoy it!

Gotcha. I don’t mind a slow burn especially if it’s got a creepy Lovecraftian vibe.
Leviathan is one that’s been on my list and just keep putting it off.

On your interest in planes have you ever seen Stephen King’s Night Flier?
